Afutara

Our training centre is in West Are'Are, on coastal Malaita. We have use of 120 acres of flat, fertile land, set between two rivers. Afutara Village surrounds the centre, and the Su'u National Secondary School and farm are nearby.

Courses	Agriculture, Business Studies, Carpentry & Building Construction, Development Studies, Electrical Wiring, English, Life skills/Typing, Mechanics, Sea Safety.
Course duration	2-3 years.
Annual fee	$1,000 year one, $900 from year two.
To apply	Applicants must be 18 years or over (from Standard 6 or Form 5). Please send your application with a letter from your pastor, priest or reverend, with school references (marks achieved at last school attended).

How to get here	There is a weekly 30-minute flight, direct from Honiara to Afutara. It is an eight-hour journey by boat from Honiara to Auki, then a two-hour journey by outboard motor from Auki.
