Seghe
Leadership Training Centre
Western
Province
On the hill at Seghe was the USA Navy base and the residence of former President J.F Kennedy during the Second World War. Our airstrip was built by the US Navy during WW2 as well.
The centre started in 1973, training young people for
leadership positions in the Church and community at Seghe. It later added
vocational training.
Seghe Leadership Training Centre aims to equip under-privileged young men
and women with literacy, vocational and trade skills to make them economically
productive, and we teach morality for them to become useful and responsible
citizens.
Among our business activities are selling of vegetables, furniture, and
chickens, and the income helps us pay our operational costs although our
needs are much more than our present income.
